This renovation for the Louisville Boat Club is a complete makeover of their existing pool building, as it was turned into a new casual restaurant for both members and guests. A new breezeway though the center of the building now connects the tennis court and swimming pool areas with outdoor dining, a full-service bar, and viewing decks for tennis matches.

The snack bar and multi-purpose room was replaced with a new interior dining room and a commercial kitchen. The new kitchen is complete with a walk-in refrigerator/freezer and state-of-the-art food service equipment. In addition to restaurant guests, the kitchen will serve as a support area for club events and catering needs. Locker rooms and lifeguard/swimming pool storage areas have been spruced up with paint, new dressing cubicles, and new fixtures.

Located in historic Amherst County Virginia, The Farm is a marvelous mountainside retreat where guests can enjoy the stunning surroundings of Townley Farm. At The Farm, the focus is on rest, relaxation, and fellowship. Ten individual guest quarters and a large gathering space with shady verandas and a dining deck overlook the beautiful scenery in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

With a Jeffersonian farmhouse and guesthouse situated close by on the property, the new building is designed to reflect elements of its surroundings. It is on the site of an existing barn, which will be removed during construction. Planks from the existing structure and a cupola built by Mr. Townley are being saved and incorporated into the new building design.

The comfortable lodgings are equipped with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay, but don't expect to find television or Wi-Fi at The Farm. With ultra-efficient construction, geothermal heating and cooling, LED lighting, and Advantium cooking, The Farm is as modern as it is classic.

AJRC and OnPointe Consulting will perform all architectural services for this project.

The building offers both 400 banquet-style and 750 theater-style seating. Services include a full-service kitchen and additional smaller meeting rooms located in the main lodge, convenient to the main dining room. A gas fireplace accents one side of the center for winter appeal and a covered outdoor terrace located on the opposite side of the building provides spectacular views of the countryside.
